And time will tell just who has fell and whose been left behind when you go your way and I go mine...
Three hits in the whole game for the Halos and two of them were by Mike Trout. Both times he was wiped out in a double play. So much for green lights in stadium traffic.
Didn't matter much. Toronto's Brandon Morrow threw a complete game three-hit shutout. Why can't the Angels play the Minnesota Twins every night for the rest of the season? Ugh. Real baseball team in town. Different results.
Dan Haren again suffers the fate of a ball over a fence. That is how the neighbor's window gets broken. Never mind. Trumbo was the Mark Trumbo we were praying last night that he wasn't, you recall, when our season got turned around.
Jordan Walden showed why we might need to trade for a new reliever, which we did in fact do before the game.
Anything else? I was going to put a poll together with Albert Pujols and Vernon Wells as candidates for blame of the game. But here is the problem - the Cardinals trolls would jump on the site to slam Albert out of bitterness, spite and yeah even still a little bit of envy. All of the Angels fans would give Vernon the blame even if he went 4-4 with 5 grand slams. So let's get to the heart of the matter. It was either deep-fly-oops Haren or a punchless and gloveless Trumbo.
