I thought it would be cool for discussion to learn about other poster's experiences playing baseball or softball for the ladies. If you never played, thats cool too. Myself, I was primarily a pitcher and also played first base. I played AAU and got to experience national tournaments such as Cooperstown and in Myrtle Beach. My 7th grade year, I tore my rotator cuff, luckily not requiring surgery. Instead I had to go through a long road of physical therapy. It took me about 2 years until I finally felt 100 percent again and regained my velocity. I played Varsity my freshman year of high school making 1 start and other relief appearances. During conditioning season my sophomore year, bad pain began building up in my elbow. Although my injury was undiagnosed, they wanted me to shut it down and again return to physical therapy. I made the decision to hang it up with baseball and focus on basketball, a decision I sometimes regret. I miss my pitching days. Im still relatively young though, so my playing days aren't necessarily over. I have thoughts about giving club baseball a shot when I'm back off at college next fall. I hope you guys share your experiences and I look forward to reading them.
