Final Score in Detroit: Angels 13 Tigers 0 ...Buh Buh Buh Blowout! Let's sing about it...
When Garrett Richards took the mound tonight, he had a 4-0 lead, courtesy of a three-run Mark Trumbo Homerun that followed a run scoring Albert Pujols single in the top of the first inning at Tiger Stadium. The rookie didn't wince and the offense just kept pouring it on. By the end of the game four more Angels had homered, Mike trout adding a two-run jack in the second inning and Pujols sending out a souvenir an inning later. Alberto Callaspo joined the hit parade in the sixth inning making an eight run game an eleven to zero laugher.
Kendrys Morales hit a solo shot from the right side to the opposite field in the top of the eighth inning, a feat that might be more impressive than five homers in a game considering his pull happy prowess sinking his comeback season so far. The final run of the evening was a smash by Peter Bourjos that bounced a half-foot below the yellow line on the outfield wall for a run-scoring double.
