Anyone want to coach a high school baseball team?

Yes, I'm serious. Taft High School in Woodland Hills (north of LA central in the San Fernando valley) is in desperate need for coaching staff to take over for the retiring staff (their sons graduated). We have great parent and community support, and a really awesome group of kids. The teams performed very well last year and there is a lot of current talent. Of course, there is that Son of Raaddad kid who spends most of his time running laps around the field for frequent misbehavior (takes after his mother).

We are looking for knowledgeable teaching-oriented candidates, who aren't too much of an a-hole. We project at least $36,000 for the staff handling both Varsity and Junior Varsity year around, which is correlative to other programs in the area, from what I understand. Probably not a full time job situation, though I have seen college guys coaching teams here, and that kind of money would be nice for sure. I know Red Floyd for one would give his left nut for a few extra coins right about now. Of course, we who have coached do it for the love of the game, and to help young people stay psyched about baseball, but it is nice to get paid for all the work involved.

You're probably saying to yourself: Hey, Raaddad, why ain't you taking on this awesome task with all your vast experience in coaching Little League and your obvious amazing knowledge of everything baseball as we've seen here at HH on a regular basis. My answer to that can be found at the end of the poll.

Oh, and btw, to sweeten the deal, Missus Raaddad has offered to make her absolutely fantastic chocolate chip cookies for the coaching staff on their birthdays. I can provide the alcohol and recreationals (well, I might have to call 2Pints).

(If interested, email me at scovell@avc.edu and I'll get you the pertinent info.)
