I'm sitting in a Singapore hotel room waiting for my Thai marriage visa and surfing the television channels through endless Chinese warlord soap operas, Japanese samurai ninja soap operas and 15-20 channels of soccer, when to my astonishment, I stumble upon baseball game. It was the WBC qualifier between Nicaragua and Panama (rebroadcast of November 17 game played in Panama). I was jonesing for some baseball, so I'm watching this and I wind up screaming at Jose Mota (yes, that Mota) give his keys to the game - "number 1, someone please step up" ("Really, Jose? Do a lot of pre-game research for that one?"). Now that Jose will be doing color on the Spanish language broadcast, I consider this my spring training for dealing with Guby.

I feel like a junkie on his second-to-last day of rehab trying to figure out where his dealers will be hanging. I miss it so...23 days to pitchers and catchers.

Anybody else doing anything (besides Of Maicer and Men) to get ready for the season?
