Sullivan writes an interesting piece regarding why the Angels should improve in 2014: primarily because of lowered expectations and a healthier Pujols. Calhoun and Hamilton being projected for the same WAR performance is somewhat shocking - not Kole's performance, but the decline of Hamilton. On paper the 2014 Halos as currently constructed appear to be average (replacement level) across the board - with the exception of Trout. Sullivan makes the case that the Halos are screwed long-term - which is hard to debate given the decline of Hamilton and Pujols so early in their contracts. I'm content at this point to just let 2014 play out and focus on doing no harm to 2015 and beyond.
