A great way to end the weekend -- a strong seventh inning push led to a win over the Kansas City Royals. The Angels hitting finally produced a run in the previously mentioned inning when Josh Hamilton launched a ball into the stands at Kauffman Stadium. In addition to Hamilton's home run, the Angels scored two more in that inning.
As for the Halos pitching, it was a six man effort from the likes of Jerome Williams, Sean Burnett, Kevin Jepsen (see you later, Billy Buckner), Garrett Richards, Scott Downs, and Ernesto Frieri. Williams gave up seven hits over six innings and allowed two runs. Those two runs were the Royals only ones as their offense stalled despite earning twelve hits.
Now go enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend! Don't forget to remember the men and women who have served this great country.
