I'm posting this here again because you guys are the best and this is the most active Angels community I know and would expect the best answer from. Anyways, I'm planning on going to the game against the Mariners on June 20, which is also CJ Wilson bobblehead night. The problem is I will be driving not to Anaheim first, but to Villa Park to pick up my friend, and I will also be coming from West Los Angeles. I believe I can leave work at 4:50 PM and start heading out, but according to my coworker, it will be more like a 2 hour drive. I can expect myself to arrive at my buddy's place around 6:45 PM and it would probably be another 15-20 minutes via local streets to Angel Stadium during rush hour.
The game starts at 7:05 PM.
My question is this: Will I be able to get in there in time to get a bobblehead? I know the general rule of thumb is that if you make it in before the first pitch, you'll get a bobblehead. However, I think there's a chance I might not make it in until after the 1st inning, possibly the 2nd. Considering this is a week night game and considering that the Angels have been sucking this season, I would imagine attendance would be down and there would be plenty of bobbleheads to go around, even if I did come in the 2nd inning. Should I just go ahead with my plan or should I have to use some personal time and take a half day to go to Anaheim to ensure I get a bobblehead?
