What could have been a game-winning solo home run in the bottom of the tenth off of the bat of Mark Trumbo was merely getting the Angels one run closer to the Cubs way too late for salvation. Trumbo hit two solo shots - one to tie it in the eighth and one to make it all less wimpy in the tenth - but the Angels were unclutch in many situations.
Former Angels Kevin Gregg served up that second Trumbo bomb and was the winning pitcher when he struck out Hank Conger with the tying runs on base. He looks good in blue and looked a lot better than his wild pitch yesteryears.

So hey look it was historic!
