Angels starter CJ Wilson was off to a shaky start tonight. After throwing 57 pitches through the first two innings, he managed to pitch into the sixth inning while giving up seven hits, four walks, two earned runs and striking out six.
The bullpen was in full shutdown mode, picking up the remaining 14 outs and yielding zero runs. RP Buddy Boshers, just called up from AAA to take the roster spot recently vacated by a DL'd Howie Kendrick, got the final out of the sixth inning by way of strikeout.
On the offense side of the equation, Mike Trout, who was the DH tonight, finished 0 for 4 with a walk, RBI and three strikeouts. Catcher Chris Iannetta on the other hand reached base four times going 1 for 2 with three walks.
