...stuck around Saint Petersburg until I saw it was time for a change...
Final Score in some city in Florida that the team can't even get right on its listed name: Angels 6 Rays 5
Erick Aybar had four RBI in a 6-5 win over the Wild Card leading Tampa Bay Rays (who play their home games in St. Petersburg but every doofus one Earth bags on the Angels for having a geographically ambiguous name). Mike Trout hit a monster home run (but did choke a few times with men in scoring position) and the Angels blew a lead but came back to reclaim it after C.J. McNibbler just couldn't put guys away after looking brilliant in the first few innings.
Aybar had the biggest hit, a two run double with one out in the top of the ninth with the Angels down 5-4. The best part was the win came against the dreaded Crooked Hat. Ernesto Frieri got the win and former Rays farmhand Dane De La Rosa got the Save.
Fernando Rodney is the first pitcher to blow a save in the ninth inning at home against the #Angels this season.

Ex-Angels Jose Molina, Sean Rodriguez, Joel Peralta and Fernando Rodney all played roles in the ups and downs of the Rays as well as those of their former team. Funny how Joe Maddon's bench is so Halocentric and does so well playing complementary roles while Scioscia wouldn't know which of a J.B. Shuck to stick in his ear to dig out the extra wax if you paid him. Okay, okay, we won tonight, woo-hoo, no complaining, Light That Baby Up!
