Wednesday's Angels lineup looks suspiciously like Tuesday's... and with a seven-run sixth, hey, why not?
Note that the seven run inning came at the expense of Brennan Boesch who was pinch-hit for by Collin Cowgill against the left-handed reliever Antonio Bastardo and the inning was kept alive, the rally amplified. What we are seeing is a flexibility with Mike Scioscia - he has basically dumped C.J. Cron and benched Efren Navarro in favor right now of Boesch. But the meta-picture reveals a solid commitment to Calhoun as an everyday player. Scioscia tends to do this for lefties more than righties and Kole has gotten his due.
Tonight's batting order is as follows...
- Kole Calhoun RF
- Mike Trout CF
-
Albert Pujols 1B
- Josh Hamilton LF
- Erick Aybar Short Stop
-
Howie Kendrick 2B
- Brennan Boesch Designated Hitter
-
David Freese 3B
- Hank Conger Catcher
and Jered Weaver on the mound to face the Phillies. Tomorrow is an offday and the pen stays pretty rested so look for and ALL-IN bet on the basepaths and the mound by the Soth tonight.
