The Angels Lineup for Monday night's game against the Red Sox in Boston is as follows:
- Kole Calhoun RF
- Mike Trout CF
- Albert Pujols DH
- Howie Kendrick 2B
- Erick Aybar SS
- Brennan Boesch LF
- David Freese 3B
- Efren Navarro 1B
- Chris Iannetta C
With C.J. Wilson on the mound.
THE GOOD: Josh Hamilton sits for the second straight game. Pujols DHing this late in the season is a good thing as well. Father Time creeps up on no Halo as definitively as he does Her Majesty.
THE BAD: The biggest failure from Scioscia yesterday was having nobody to bat for Navarro in the eighth inning as C.J. Cron is in the minor leagues. With no righty bat that is an obvious switch out to play 1B and Albert probably being a little tender, Scioscia could have had Chris Iannetta pinch hit, moved Calhoun to 1B and brought in Boesch to field but as it was, Navarro batted, struck out with the bases loaded and the rest, as they say, is history.
THE UGLY: Word is that HamBone offered to move down in the lineup and Scioscia demurred.
