The Angels attempted to fill in their pitching staff's hole with a start by their best minor league option but Wade LeBlanc revealed that man does not live on location alone. Sporting a no-movement pitch selection that danced on the corners, LeBlanc got thru two innings unscathed until the Miami Marlins took batting practice in the third and fourth inning. LeBlanc was not around when the final baserunners he had allowed to reach all came in on a booming Giancarlo Stanton home run off of Corey Rasmus.
By the time the Halos got around to scoring a full 40% of their fan base had abandoned the team. Rasmus, Mike Morin and Fernando Salas pitched so that other arms that are the hope and prayer for this season would not have to. The bandwagon is emptying out, get good seats now!
Erick Aybar had a few hits but whoever it was on the mound for Miami he was good.... or maybe we were just bad. We are still in first place, tied for it at the moment. This race is going to go down to the wire. Ugh.
