He's made 10 starts since dating back to August 1st.  Four have been made with an extra day of rest, and six have been made on normal rest (actually five for sure, but I'm assuming that start on August 1st was on normal rest - you can find a table breaking it down here.

1. In his four starts with extra rest, he's had three quality starts and was an out short of a fourth, with an ERA of 0.98.
   
2. In his six starts on normal rest, he's had three quality starts, with an ERA of 8.26.
   
3. In his last three starts on normal rest, as he pushes into his largest ever workload, he's had no quality starts, and allowed 22 runs in 8.1 innings for an ERA of 24.44.

There's an off day before his next start, but if everything broke right for the Angels, he'd start the second to last game of the season on normal rest.  Of course, I'll take my chances if it means that game is meaningful, but even assuming it matters, the trends aren't very appealing.

Right before Kielty hit the two-out grand slam, Nick Swisher put his arm practically across the plate, getting hit by the pitch.  If it didn't hit him, it would have been a strike.  Pretty pathetic.
