Red Sox could trade for Mark Trumbo

"The Angels could use a third baseman (Will Middlebrooks?) and a pitcher (Felix Doubront?)"

Baseball Prospectus Top 10 Angels Prospects

2B Taylor Lindsey 3B Kaleb Cowart 1B C.J. Cron RHP R.J. Alvarez RHP Mark Sappington RF Randal Grichuk 2B Alex Yarbrough SS Jose Rondon LHP Ricardo Sanchez LHP Hunter Green The biggest surprise here is Ricardo Sanchez, a 16 year old Venezuelan lefty signed last offseason. I can't seem to find any stats for him, and he's not even on the DSL Angels' roster.

New NPB-MLB posting agreement could be "several weeks away"

Over the last few days word has come out that there is a serious holdup in reaching a new agreement on the NPB posting system. Another source I read said the Japanese player's union is very unhappy with whatever the new proposal is. In addition, Rakuten and other teams aren't going to consider posting their players until an agreement is reached. As things stand now, I'd say Tanaka isn't coming to MLB this winter.

Korea's top closer to be posted; 4 MLB, 2 NPB teams interested

Another option to solve the Angels' severe pitching problems without costing a draft pick has materialized. Oh Seung-hwan, closer for the back-to-back-to-back Korea Series Champion Samsung Lions has received permission to sign abroad one year earlier than he would have been allowed under the KBO's free agency rules. He's 31, so doesn't really have youth on his side, but has a career 1.69 ERA/0.84 WHIP with 277 saves and 625 strikeouts. The Dodgers and Yankees are supposedly interested and given the Angels' arguably greater needs and similar cash flow, I would be very surprised if they aren't looking as well. Things could also get interesting due to differences in KBO's posting agreements with MLB and NPB, which the article details.

Marlins looking into Trumbo

Everyone's favorite baseball mind Jim Bowden! Marlins are a perfect fit for Trumbo in my opinion. They have terrific minor league pitching depth and I would love to see the Angels pick from a collection of Andrew Heaney, Justin Nicolino, Adam Conley, Nathan Eovaldi, Brian Flynn, AJ Ramos, Dan Jennings, etc. Maybe Trumbo and Iannetta for Flynn, Eovaldi, and Ramos? Or Trumbo for Heaney include Iannetta for a bullpen arm.

Shelby Miller/ Lance Lynn available?

I don't know how trustworthy his reports are but if they are available Angels really need to consider offering Aybar.
