Bobby Grich and the HoF

I just completed an article at Beyond the Boxscore that included Bobby Grich basically being snubbed from the Hall of Fame, although he certainly deserves it. I figured some old school Angels fans would enjoy it, and fans who might not know can check it out as well.

I appreciate that greatly. When you said statmeister I did picture myself in a German military uniform with a spikey helmet and whispey mustache circa 1916, but I still like it. Anything in particular Halos Heaven wants to see done? I'm always up for pleasing some readers

My greatest Angel stat curiosities:

How would Lyman Bostock's career have gone had he not been murdered?

How much below an average HOF Member are the careers of Tim Salmon and Brian Downing?

Is there anyway to statisitcally prove that Gary Pettis was the greatest defensive Centerfielder in history, or are my beerstained memories sufficient objective criteria?

Hey Marc

Wow, I had no idea that Bobby Grich was that good and possibly great. He was always a favorite for myself and my brother. I was so bummed when he retired. In my sons room there is a picture of Nolan Ryan and Bobby Grich just so he never forgets where he comes from and should strive to be.

I always thought i was just being a homer for BGrich... so thanks a lot for that post.

Bobby Grich is officialy the bomb.

Lastly, Brian Downing a great Angel but not a Hall of Famer. Another favorite, especially with that crazy stance.
