I'm calling Bob Geren
My bet to succeed Ken Macha as A's manager is Athletics Bench Coach and Billy Beane robotic-implant-yes-man Bob Geren
This is great news for the Angels as we can expect more ground-into-double-plays from team Hit-and-Sit Base-Stander Spectators.
With Billy Beane radioing in the commands, there will not be an iota of speed nor a young player within striking distance of the Green-N-Yella Choaksters.
Bob Geren at the helm of the Fremont She-Wolffs makes for an easier divison road for the Halos, and I am all for the hoe-ing of that.

Please let it be Mickey Hatcher!
And in even better news
- Takes Washington out of the running for the A's manager spot, and
- Gets him off the A's staff altogether, where he has a strong presence with the players.
Nah
You really gotta admire Girardi
Yeah, but
Showalter would be perfect

Billy the Genius
Maybe Beane sensed Macha was about to call a hit and run?
Yes I watch them
You think that was Macha'a manner or on orders from Michael Lewis?

Ken Macha as Angels bench coach?
Zito?
Billy's Puppet
'Bench coach Bob Geren appears to be the favorite to win the A's managing job, but he's viewed as being very close to brilliant GM Billy Beane, who doesn't exactly like to place the bulk of the power with the manager. As one competing GM put it, if they hire Geren, "They won't be able to hide the strings.'''
