Paul Byrd Juiced as an Angel?
The San Francisco Chronicle (10/21/2007) Sunday is reporting former Angel and current Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Paul Byrd purchased $25,000 (1000 vials) of human growth hormone between Aug. 2002 and Jan. 2005. Byrd was signed with the Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves, and the Los Angeles Angels during this time.
I wonder what effect this will have on Sunday's game 7 in Boston, the final game of the ALCS? Apparently this story has just broke. I wonder if it will make it on to ESPN front page by gametime.

HGH for adults
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growth_hormone_deficiency
Adults with growth hormone deficiency may have diminished lean body mass and poor bone density and a number of physical and psychological symptoms, including poor memory, social withdrawal, and even depression. Abnormally low growth hormone levels in adults typically result in diminished quality of life and can even be disabling. Physical symptoms include loss of strength, stamina, and musculature. Adults suffering from these symptoms should seek laboratory testing by an endocrinologist. Other hormonal or glandular disorders frequently coincide with diminished growth hormone production.
