L.A. Angels of Anaheim GAME 10/162 THREAD

GAME THREAD
Angels at Indians in Milwaukee - 10 a.m. on FSN
Dustin Moseley Vs. Jeremy Sowers

Star-divide

Sowers is a Lefty who walks a lot of batters that don't hack at the junk, and then gets lots of double plays to get out of trouble. Moseley gives up hard line drives then relies on the defense to hold the runners.

You Down With O.P.D.?
Quinlan - Speier - 3
(no clue if Quinlan will even be in the lineup but live on the edge a little sez I)

Random Song Lyrics
Do you take me for such a fool
to think I'd make contact
with the one who tries to hide
what he don't know to begin with

I am totally going to be asleep for this one, so the next time some East Coast yokel bitches about the games on the West Coast starting too late, grab the fogger by the throat, squeeze until he is purple and say "Ten Friggin A.M. buddy, TEN friggin' A.M."

Against the grain
O:  GA, against a lefty!
P:  Carrasco, assuming spring wasn't a fluke.
D:  1

Also, I'm stepping out on a limb and saying that like Spring, it's time for another triple play.  Line-drive-Moseley would certainly set up the possibility.  Come on boys, make my wild guess true!

Can I just say...
...that for once - and purely from my own selfish perspective - this game has been scheduled perfectly.  6pm BST (that's British Summer Time to those of you whose world stops at the Atlantic seaboard - and yes, I do see the irony in that name) so just in time for me to settle in back home with a beer and put my feet up (or a nice cup of tea - if you prefer your stereotypes to be of the regional variety).

Come on Halos!  We only get a handful of these games a year - don't let us down, let's have a big showing for the European fanbase...

especially with this game FAR from over.

Look at Ortiz's 2007 stats (through 2):

W-L ERA K Walks WHIP

2-0 1.80 8 2 0.67

Although, Moseley has pitched admirably. (Damn, don't jinx him).

...back to back no hitters. Bottom line is Ortiz is a 34 year old journeyman who will never be anything but below average. Moseley is only 25 and at least has a chance to be decent. Ortiz is what he is andwill probably be out of baseball before Dustin is 29.

Look at the pitcher...
It says he was drafted in 1986 by the California Angels....

Don't seem to recall this fella ever being in our system.  He came up with the White jizz-stained Socks.
