Send Myspacecobar to the Midsummer Classic

Moved Over From The Diaries

I know this has already been posted in the "All-Star Snubs" thread, but I think it deserves to have its own post.

KELVIM ESCOBAR is facing off against Hideki Okajima of the Red Sox, Roy Halladay of the Blue Jays, Pat Neshek of the Twins, and Jeremy Bonderman of the Tigers for the final spot on the American League All-Star roster.

I think we should be most concerned with Okajima and Bonderman, as Red Sox Nation and last year's AL pennant winners will have plenty of fans trying to propel their boys to San Francisco.

VOTE FOR MYSPACECOBAR NOW!

So vote as long as you can while still remaining sane. There is no limit to the number of times you can vote. The voting ends on Thursday, July 5. Get family and friends to vote, too!

Update 1: Rotoworld thinks Bonderman is the likeliest candidate to be chosen. Let's prove them wrong!

Update 2: jerryhattrick has a great idea--leave the voting window open on your computer all week, and if you have a free moment or are waiting for a page to load, vote for Escobar.

This Fan-Post is authored by an independent fan. Tell us what you think and how you feel.

Agreed
I've been voting for a solid 30 minutes. IT doesn't appear there's any vote cap, unless I'm just a glitch.

Go 'vim!

Rev,
is there someway you could keep this up top or put it somewhere prominently on the site until Thursday when the voting ends?

I really want to see Escobar go to the game and for the Angels to send four representatives to San Francisco.

Today from Rotoworld:
Jeremy Bonderman blanked the Twins for eight innings and Marcus Thames homered in the bottom of the eighth to give the Tigers a 1-0 win over the Twins on Sunday.
The Tigers avoided a sweep at home. Bonderman allowed six hits, walked one and struck out seven to prevail for the ninth time this season. Todd Jones followed with a perfect ninth. Bonderman is only 16th in the AL in ERA and he's given up six unearned runs, so he is something of a reach for a place on the All-Star team. Still, he likely is the leading candidate to win the Final Vote for the last spot on the club.

PROVE THEM WRONG!

Don't forget to mention that
if you look at the stats, Escobar is by far more deserving than Halladay and Bonderman.  And his age (and maybe his being a starter) should give him the tiebreaker over Neshek and Okajima.

I'm planning on leaving the voting window open over the next 5 days for intermittent clicking while I'm waiting for sites to load up.  Thanks for the heads up on the unlimited votes.

BTW
I'm voting for Chris Young for NL (thanks to edhoo and Obscurity for the tip).

Another reason to vote for Escobar:
Let's show them (the powers that be) what a potent force the blogosphere (and in particular, the Halosphere) can be!

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.
