OC got robbed...
how the hell does cabrera get left off the all-star team? he's certainly having a better season than michael young. and even though young's probably the only ranger that can even be considered, what's wrong with taking a 4th SS? any of them could probably play some second in the AS game? its too bad texass and baltimore's only reps are middle infielders. cabrera got shafted and deserves to be in the all-star game.

Here is what should have happened:
Manny Ramirez should have been left off, and Sammy Sosa should have been the Rangers representative.

And then Michael Young could've been left off, and Cabrera would have been in.

sorry, i'd rather have Bonderman
the goal is to win the All-Star game to get home field advantage in the World Series, and i want the best pitcher out there, and Bonderman edges out Kelvim.

let Kelvim rest - i'd hate to see Ervin pitching that 7th game at Shea Stadium instead of Anaheim.

Given that logic
and given the fact the newly named player will pitch one inning out of relief, then Pat Neshek should win.

That being said I am pulling for Myspace

I'm giving Figgins a big F U. Seattle isn't winning 90. I am not worried.

Lest we forget
Kelvim kicked ass in 2005 as a reliever, putting up comparable stats to what Okajima and Neshek have. He can pitch for one inning as well as anybody. The fact that he can also be a frontline starter is what makes him a better candidate.

I forgot about Okajima
I have no doubts about Kelvim's relief skills.  He was dominant in 05

does anybody remember?
when we signed him that deep voiced, mullet headed, lick jeff brantley on baseball tonight called it the worst off season free agent signing.

I don't recall it
bu I agree with your assesment of Jeff brantley and beieve his obtuse inability to cognate would have inspired him to make that call...

anybody know...
....whether voting would cost me $$$?  I have t-mobile and unlimited text messaging, and voting by text is about 50x faster than online.  Can't find info about it on t-mo's website.  Anybody know?
Willits for ROY

The rules from the webpage...
To vote for a specific player below, simply text message your choice to 36197. EXAMPLE: Text "A3" to vote for AL Player 3 or "N3" for NL Player 3. Standard rate messaging fees may also apply, check with your carrier. In Canada, fans should text their choices to 88555.

That says nothin' about extra fees; take a screenshot of the page just in case, then txt away!!

3 1/2 hours left...
...and not a chance for Kelvim.  The frontrunners are Okajima, Bonderman, and Neshek.  At least Chris Young--who deserves it--is in the top 2 in the NL with Zambrano.  I'm gonna keep voting, though.

GOOD NEWS: OC and ESCY DIDN'T MAKE IT!
Why?

Because they need a rest and it'll give them more motivation to do even better next year.

I don't want half of our team showing up in the Gay Area for a 3-day fete when they could be chillin' in So Cal getting ready for the Texas stRangers visit on July 13 - 15.

Thank you east-coast-biased voters!

'86 never happened!

I agree... They need the rest
And hopefully Vlad doesn't do that stupid home run derby thing.
