The Angels are halfway into their 10-day window to trade or release veteran Shea Hillenbrand who was designated for assignment on Friday. Stoneman would not say how close he might be to working out a trade.
"For me, it's really a function of trying to get it done. I never say what my expectations are," Stoneman said. "At this point, we don't have a deal worked out with anyone."
