Silver Lining
At just under 2 hours, that game was almost painless, you have to imagine that a player almost prefers spending less than an hour on the astroturf in exchange for losing, especially at the start of a grueling trip.
There is a little bright side in this loss just about everywhere you look - Matthews was in the field, Cabrera got a day of rest to better cope with the coming game-crunch, Saunders saved the bullpen and his personal dignity in the process, and we may have two games left in toronto, but neither of them are with Roy Halladay. Oh, and Seattle lost, yeah, there is that nugget. Yes, othr than Erick Aybar's confidence, there was little damage to the Starship Angelprise in today's trek.

im gonna say this again
It is FieldTurf. It feels like running on rubber pellets, becuse that's what it is. The only situation in which it might hurt is when making sharp turns with longish cleats.
