Texas announcers bashing the Mariners for...
...their "unprofessional," "bush league," "embarrassing," "should never be seen on a field," batting practice uniform shirts. As he did when pitching a shutout against the Chisox, Weaver has his team wearing t-shirts because of the heat. I wouldn't say the tees are ugly, just something you'd expect from a softball team or a team buying unis at Goodwill.

*** UPDATE *** (stolen from the angels website)
An X-ray taken at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Anaheim on Thursday of the thumb and middle finger showed no breaks. Kotchman has a bruised thumb and a sprained left middle finger. He was listed as day-to-day.

Robb Quinlan was in the lineup at first base with Kotchman undergoing further testing, and the club was considering a move to add depth at the position. A likely candidate to return from Triple-A Salt Lake is Kendry Morales, who has the added bonus of being a switch-hitter with pop from both sides.

Santana
Back to his same bad old tricks.  I was driving home from the office swearing during that big inning.  He's not tough enough for this business if he's going to whine when he gets asked about his lousy performances.  What a baby.
Hoping Ervin Santana turns it around in Salt Lake. Go, Ervin!

Are you sure I'm an asshole?
I won't believe until you misapply another SABR stat or use your typical multiple endpoints to prove it.  And even that won't do it.  After you misapply the asshole ratio, you have to make some comment about how everyone should have known all along what an asshole I was, as it was surely all in the numbers.  Go on, Rob.  Get crackin'!

What's the purpose of your comment
To make it clear just how big of a loser you are?

Scareduck's theme song...
I'm only happy when they lose
I'm only happy when its complicated
And though I know you can't appreciate it
I'm only happy when they lose

You know I love it when the play is bad
And why it feels so good to feel so sad
Like an oh for twenty hitting Vlad
I'm only happy when they lose

Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me
Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me

I'm only happy when blow it late
I feel good when Shields can't find the plate
And Garrett's jump is way way too late
I'm only happy when they lose.

I only smile in the dark
My comfort is the halo gone black
I'm with the trash and all the rats
I'm only happy when they lose.

You'll get the message by the time I'm through
I blame Scioscia every time they lose
I'm only happy when it bad.

I'm only happy when they lose
I'm riding high upon a deep depression
JJ Putz is my new obsession
I'm only happy when they lose.

Isn't it amazing
A guy who is constantly negative and miserable gets told that his miserable negativity is pissing people off, and he responds by calling people assholes and cocksuckers.  Ya know, maybe we're not the problem.
