He pissed me off
I was at the game and he took for...ever to pitch the ball.  I had to laugh when Upton stole home on him what a punk. Escobar needs to throw some ground balls or pop ups.  All the Angels were fired coming on field in the 1st.  After the 1st half inning they were like what the hell just happened.  He went 3-2 on almost every batter.
Stay on the damn bag!!

Consider this:
Escobar  has never
a) been healthy most of the season (like this season)
b) started this many games.

I think he's tired.

I think the same is true with Saunders and Willits.

Seems to me Rory said he started 30 games last
year

I think you're right
And I hope the Angels skip him a turn in the rotation.  We've got a good excuse with Ervin and Bart battling for a spot.  I hope that's all he needs.
If I went to war and could only take one weapon, it would be an HK47.

He DID start 30 games last year ....
And his previous high GS was 33 in 2004, his first with the Angels - So I stand corrected on that point.

But he was on the DL last year - despite the GS and the IP, we're still talking about a guy who has only pithed 200+ inning just 1 time in his career (2004).

I think it's still a case of him being fatigued.

Mean Centerfield?
Mean as in badass or mean as in average or mean as in ugly? I didn't see the game, so I'm curious.

Pretty sure he meant mean as in badass
Nate made all the plays and a great throw to the plate.

Thanks
I'm rooting for Nate. He was Tony Gwynn in AAA, and now Charley Lau in the bigs. It's the Year of the Nate. I hope he makes the playoff roster.
