So they cut out my answer to one of their questions in that forum, so here it is for you all:

Q: What do Angel fans know about the team that the mainstream media
should pay more attention to?

Rev Halofan: The fact that the media obsesses about the name-change issue, and that they rag on the So-Cal lifestyle as producing a less-true version of a fan in Anaheim than in some eastern seaboard shithole - these insipid mindsets prevent me from giving a rat's ass (preferably a rat from one of our stadium concession stands) about setting the media straight.

ALSO: Rob at the 6-4-2 blog linked to a great discussion at SportsHub L.A. about how our Gary Matthews contract and the Dodgers' Juan Pierre contracts are exacerbated by, and yet ameliorated somewhat with, the follow-up signings of Torii Hunter and Andruw Jones.

I never really got that Angel/dodger touchy feely, hippy, yoga type blog combining the Angels and dodgers.

Not that I disrespect touchy feely hippy stuff.

It's just the Angel/dodger combo that I can't get use to.

After reading that

I don't ever plan on checking out that site again, unless they bring in Rev for another special guest star appearance. Way to hold it down, Rev, always keepin' it real. I love it.

Then again, tomorrow they're looking at "LA's real team." Maybe I'll have to see what the outlook is on the team that will finish fourth in their division. They'll beat the Giants, I guess, so at least Dodger fans will have SOMEONE to rag on.

Do you pay attention to baseball?

I may be an Angels fan, but I also recognize that the Dodgers are a damned good team. They have a real shot at winning an incredibly tough division with three other legitimate contenders (the Rox, Snakes and Padres). The combination of good veterans (like Jeff Kent and Derek Lowe) and promising kids (Billingsley, Kemp and Loney) make the Dodgers a pretty potent team.

That said, the "LA's real team" thing did bother me too.
