Quiz Time
What is wrong with the power rankings this week?
No, not that we are getting hosed again in the rankings.
No, not that the Cubs are 7-12 against the NL East and will get hosed in the next month by those teams.
One more guess. "HINT" it's about the Angels and includes the Cubs.

Guess what everybody ?
That is what the radio announcer from EAssPeeiN said on the radio today after the Sweep Caroline of the RedSux by our Angels.
Well what was the asshat talking about you ask. The answer to his question was the the Skankees are only three games behind the RedSux ... Boston is first losers behind the Rays in the AL East. I have no idea what the twit was getting at.
Not to mention that the clowns doing the radio play-by-play for the LAA-Bos game today had no idea what they were talking about when they discussed the Angels Sept schedule and all the road games in that month.
They made it sound like we're lucky up to this point of the season and we will fold down the stretch with all the road games. Hello, 31-18, .630 clip, best road record in baseball.
Also I bet the Angels drop in the Power Rankings this week.

$53,797 and change per inch
(moved from Fanposts by request of Rev Halofan)
Looks like Billy of ChOakmont has thrown away the book.
He signed sixteen year old 79 inch pitcher Michel Inoa, of the Dominican Republic, for $4.25 million dollars.
I guess Mr.Bean thinks the kid will grow a couple of inches and make this deal look like a bargain. But I think he should have paid by the pound instead. Which would be at $20,238.10 per, at the time of Michel's signing.

Heeee'sss Baaaaack, Baaaaaaack on the DL again
Bartolo Colon has been placed onto the 15 day disabled list because of a bad back.
The Big Mango just can't seem to stay healthy. Just when things get going good for the former Cy young winner. His body gives out on him. Must be time to eat.
So he collected his check and is on his way to Tony Roma's to cash it in for some BBQ.

No sense, just Aloha
I was at a Little League meeting tonight. And after them we sit around we have a-coldda-one while chewing the fat, and poke.
The VP of the league was in SoCal this past weekend to see his daughters college graduation ceremony. He was talking about his trip and explaining about the new extra baggage fees the airlines charge now. Then he got to talking about the game he got to see at the Big A on Sunday vs. the Dodgers. See any fights I asked, "not too bad" he replied. Then he began his story.
He was at the game with his family, including his 7 year old granddaughter. He didn't bring all that much to SoCal, and the triple digit weather was making it hard for him to decide on what to wear to the game. He ended up choosing a tanktop, and a UH #15 jersey over it.
While walking to the game his granddaughter, and wife, were teasing him about his fashion sense at the ballpark that day. The granddaughter says "Look PaPa. Everyone is wearing Blue or Red, and PaPa is wearing Green. What are you thinking PaPa, have you no sense."
This is going on for the length of the walk. She was just giving it to him, then. A man comes walking by yelling " Colt Brennan #15 University of Hawaii. He's from around here." My friend then smiles at the granddaughter. Then the man goes " How many you got here? One, two, three, four. There's four of you, so here's four tickets. You need tickets, take them."
My friend goes "Great. Now I don't have buy tickets, and can save money."
Then the granddaughter asks " What are you going to do now PaPa?"
"Buy more beer with the money I saved."
He knows that I'm an Angel fan, and asked me to thank you guys for the Aloha.

The Boss might want to talk with you
Arturo Moreno, the best owner in professional sports, is willing to sit down and talk contract with Fransisco Rodriguez, the best relief pitcher in Major League Baseball, sometime during the season.
"There are two sides to every door," Moreno said. "Our side is wide open."
Rodriguez had sought $12.5 million in arbitration. Asked after the ruling what he'd have thought if someone had told him he'd be making $10 million , he grinned.
"I would have laughed at that person in the face," K-Rod said.
This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.

KLAA AM830 Schedule?
What is the scheduled Angel programs on the home station for our team. I searched, and looked, and clicked, and surfed, and hunted, and seeked, and explored, and hunted, and checked, and ... to no avail have I found anything.
So could my fellow Angel fans help me in finding out what is available for listening on the intertubes over here away from the O.C. On KLAA, or any other station that might have pre, post, or anytime shows about the lads.

Todays poster child, tomorrows Minor Leaguer
First I received it in an e-mail, then I confirmed it with Yahooooooooooo-oo-oo.
The Big Mango is going down to the Minors.
They say it's because he will not be necessary in Tokyo (Don't want to cause a riff in the land of Wa for Bigg Dogg of Japan with Godzilla?). He will use the extra time to stretch out. Read exercize, I say fat chance (puns intended).
