The pathetic nature of the following list is why Casey Kotchman, Kendry Morales (both playing for league minimum) or Garret Anderson manning the bag would be better than signing an available free agent one-sacker.

If you HAD to sign one, Nomar has the most marquee value, but I'm thinking a platoon of Halosheaven posters scareduck and mattwelch would yield nearly the same results almost any of the above would - and of course every one of them will want $3 million a season and up.
