The hype machine finally stopped for ten seconds and actually addressed one of the people involved in the alleged BIG TRADE, Chisox GM Kenny Williams.
His blunt answer in response to the rumors:
"I have not approached anyone in trying to trade Joe Crede, and I don't plan to approach anyone."
This development, coupled with the Riverside Press revelation that Mike Scioscia phoned Chone Figgins and told the speedster he was the heir apparent to the Angels' 3B job... well it all pretty much kills the Santana for Garcia horseshit of the last few days, now doesn't it?
