Casey Kotchman Fantasy Baseball Analysis
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
.310 - .330 Batting Average
Lots of 2B and BB
Low strikeout rate
KEY MIDSEASON INDICATORS:
This man is just developing his power-stroke - if he has 12 homeruns at the All-Star break, 30 for the season is not out of the question. If he is batting behind or before Vladimir Guerrero, do not trade him.
His injury history looks scary, but closer examination reveals it to be 100% of the freak variety.
If your league is homerun-worshipping but also likes the 2B, pursue some power outfielders and golden arms early on, then swoop in and get Casey in the 7th or 8th round and, much like the 2006 Angels, laugh all the way to the championship.
