Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Game 122/162

Game Thread - Mariners at Angels - Moyer Vs. Escobar - 7:05 p.m.

Intentionally Altered Movie Dialogue
Ron Roenicke: What do you want me to do sir?
Mike Scioscia: I want you to round up every vicious criminal and gun slinger in the west. Take this down.
[Roenicke looks for a pen and paper while Scioscia talks]
Mike Scioscia: I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.
Ron Roenicke: [finding pen and paper] Could you repeat that, sir?

While Scioscia & Co. start rounding up a posse to beat up on Rock Ridge -- err, Arlington -- the rest of the Angels have some serious baseball to play, if they intend to make any kind of run at the A's. The Angels need to beat up on Dick Clark -- err, Jamie Moyer -- because Moyer's ripe for the picking, with his 1-5 record and 6+ ERA in his last 8 starts. The problem is, Escobar was horrible in his last outing. Let's hope he reverts back to his excellent July numbers (3-0, 2.77 ERA since June 25, not counting his last start).
