Outfielder Nick Gorneault Called Up to the Angels

New, comments

Minor League outfielder Nick Gorneault will be in uniform tonight in Baltimore for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

He is replacing Bench-Player Shea Hillenbrand, who will be Designated For Assignment probably while you are reading this.

Nick is 28 and had an OPS of 915 in 130 AAA Games in 2005. See his Lifetime Stats.

Nick was the Angels' top outfield prospect prior to their Terry Evans acquisition.
Gorneault will see some playing time at some point between tonight and the return of Maicer Izturis and/or the acquisition of a post-Hillenbrand player on the 25-Man Roster.

Richard Nickerson has a Scouting Report on the newest Angel.
