Matt Palmer, today’s starter for the Halos, made his second start of the season and fourth of his career, put the brakes on the Yankees offense. He went 6 1/3 innings, with three hits and one earned run. Palmer, who at one point retired 14 straight batters, out pitched CC Sabathia, who went 6 2/3 innings, with eight hits and 4 earned runs. What started out as pitchers duel ended in the 7th inning with Angels knocking out Sabathia with a 4 run 7th.
Torii Hunter and Kendry Morales each had 2 RBI’s; Morales also had a home run. Kendrick,The Angels bullpen which has been struggling of late made it interesting with Jose Arrendondo, pick your adjective; wiggling out of a bases loaded jam with a come backer hit by Derek Jeter and throwing him out at first in the bottom of the 7th. In the 8th, Scot Shields, to the relief of all Angel fans, made a quick inning going 1, 2, 3. Angels manager Mike Scioscia, in the 9th opened his dusty book of unorthodox acumen, pulled Shields after making his warm up pitches, to bring in Fernando Rodriguez, who made his major league debut today. What started out as a genius move with Cano grounding out, Rodriguez walked Melky Cabrera. Rodriguez proceeded to strike out Angel Berroa. Cabrera moved to 2nd base on an uncontested steal, moved to 3rd on a wild pitch and was scored on a home run by the next batter, Jorge Posada. Making it an 8-3 white knuckler; Rodriguez walks the next batter. What should’ve been a game ending catch on the track by Gary Matthews Jr, Matthews inexplicably closes his glove before the ball reaches said glove, which results in a triple and RBI for Derek Jeter. With Jeter on 3rd, Scioscia yanks Rodriguez and puts in Jason Bulger who strikes out Johnny Damon to end the game.
Notes: Erick Aybar left the game after getting hit in the face in the 1st inning while playing shortstop. He received a few stitches and will be available for tomorrow’s game if needed.

I don't know what else that could've meant, you need to choose a number!
Putting more again in the comments doesn't clarify ANYTHING. C'mon people.
