Final Score in Los Angeles: Angels 10, Dodgers 7
Even though it was just up the Freeway, it was the final game of a 10-game road trip that saw the Angels go 5 - 5, and the final 3 of those games were without the Designated Hitter.
The Dodgers started their Ace, Chad Billingsley but he just could not handle the superior singles-squibbing attack of the death-by-a-thousand-cuts Angels offense. With a 4-2 lead in the 6th inning, Bilingsley gave up three runs, with consecutive singles and a sac fly giving the Angels a lead that they would not surrender.
Torii Hunter saved both Angel wins in the 3-game Freeway Series with his glove midway thru Friday's and again Sunday's game, but on Sunday his bat also did the talking, driving in three runs. He also had a three-run homer in the Angel 1-run extra inning loss at Chavez Ravine on Saturday night.
With Hunter doing the heavy lifting for the first quarter of the season, the Angels will get Vladimir Guerrero back as Designated Hitter tomorrow night at home in Los Angeles of Anaheim.
