LHP Joe Saunders has been on the disabled list since Aug. 8 with a sore shoulder for which he received a cortisone shot. Saunders is in the long-toss phase of his throwing program and could begin throwing off a mound later this week. No rehab assignment is planned before he returns to the Angels.
