Team Reports -
OF Torii Hunter extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a bunt single in the ninth inning Thursday. Hunter has hits in 33 of his past 36 games, wrapped around a 32-game stay on the disabled list with a groin injury. Hunter is batting .400 (22-for-55) during the season-high hitting streak.

Team Reports II -
LHP Trevor Reckling, who is in Class AA, has been invited to play for Team USA in the Baseball World Cup, Sept. 9-27 in Europe. The 20-year-old Reckling (one of the Angels' top-ranked prospects) is 8-6 with a 2.90 ERA in Class AA after starting this season in Class A. He is one of 23 players selected for the international competition.

This team is NOT the same as teams past. This team has the hitting. This team has the patience at the plate. What this team doesn’t have is the pitching. So do something, Tony.
