Dan Haren One-Hitter Ends Indian Win Streak, Angels Win 2-0

Final Score in Anaheim: Angels 2, Indians 0

One of the hottest teams in the AL couldn't manage more than 1 hit off of Halo hurler Haren. Dan Haren pitched a complete-game, one-hitter to notch his third win of the season in front of a sold out, blanket covered crowd. Using 125 pitches, Haren struck out 8 while giving up his first tow walks of the season, lowering his ERA to 0.73.

Peter Bourjos provided all the scoring Haren would need with a 3rd inning home run to left. Mark Trumbo added his first career home run in the seventh, a towering flyball to left.

RevHF HERE: I have to add that Dan Haren sent props to the Angel Stadium crowd in his post-game interview (broadcast to the stadium as well as on television), pointing out how Tuesday's crowd stayed until the end of the game. You see, Dan is from Southern California and understands the poisonous stereotypes out there. At the height of his glory, he threw us a bone, all for being transfixed in our seats for his pitching gem. It was a great atmosphere at the park tonight.
