Since the phrase "Boston Massacre' was long ago taken, and "Boston Strangler" implies responsibility falling on an individual, Monday night's sloppy collection of groundouts and sluggish display of baserunning amounted to the Boston Abandoment of a previously undefeated pitcher. Jered Weaver will not get his 7th win, at least not tonight and the Angels will not take over sole possession of first place in the AL West tonight.

Don't be fooled by the scoring, this game was a failed gutcheck with no clutch hits until it didn't even matter ...and so then they aren't really clutch, are they?

I'm not going to whine about the terrible umpiring because that is what losers do. Oh wait, we lost, hey since we are losers it can be pointed out that everyone in the stadium thought Jason Varitek had struck out except some guy standing behind the plate waiting to get his Whitey Bulgger cut form tonight's gate receipts. Pink Hat nation won, big whoop, they are not that good, they won't be making the playoffs and we actually might seeing as how lousy our division is. So there.
