Jon Heyman from CBSSports is reporting the Los Angeles Angels have sent right-handed reliever Jordan Walden to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for starting pitcher Tommy Hanson.

The Angels were rumored to have been actively trying to deal the former closer for a starting pitcher. Walden became expendable after the Angels signed Ryan Madson earlier this week.
Hanson is first-year arbitration eligible and under team control until 2016. MLBTraderumors.com projects Hanson will get $4M in arbitration:
Hanson, 26, pitched better than his 4.48 ERA but allowed a lot of hits and home runs in a disappointing campaign. The team's Opening Day starter, he missed some time with a back strain this season and his average fastball velocity fell below 90 miles per hour for the first season in his career. He still managed a healthy strikeout rate at 8.3 per nine innings.
