Dodgers Hit Weaver Test Pitches

Praise be to Nero’s Neptune, the Titanic sails at dawn and everybody’s shouting "Which Side Are You On?".

The Dodgers beat the Angels 9-1 with the best Halo pitcher on the mound, but the Weave didn't have it as he warmed up his breaking ball to ill effect before a sellout crowd, the third sellout crowd of the Spring for Arte's Machine. Check out my video analysis of Weaver's performance...

After the game Chris Iannetta blamed Jered Weaver mechanics and Weaver blamed getting on the same page with his new catcher. Mark Trumbo said it was as fun as it is nerve-wracking to play 3B for the first time.

Trumbo made a bobbling error and Alexi Amarista let a relay from SS get past him at the 2B bag. It is all just rust and goodwill, though, with 23 days before the games count for the LA professionals of Anaheim.

The following video is kinda like that game... long, boring, retread, some interesting parts that redo the familiar and might be useful later this year but overall... too long and too much blue...

And it makes me wonder... but not too much.
