Final Score in Anaheim: Angels 3 Royals 6
GOOD THINGS:
Bobby Abreu drove in a run batting against a left-hander.
Albert Pujols got his first hit as an Angel.
Kendrys Morales crossed home plate, scored a run and continued walking on both feet unassisted.
Hisanori Takahashi and Rich Thompson tossed a scoreless inning each.
Jason Isringhausen pitched 2/3 of an inning with no damage in his Angels debut.
BAD THINGS:
Vernon Wells is supposed to be the guy who is relaxed now that Albert is here and can at least hit lefties. Not following the blueprint today.
Bobby Wilson throw to 3B to allow an extra run cushion late was almost to the SS instead of a perfectly positioned Alberto Callaspo at the bag.
Everything else regarding Callaspo belongs in this column.
LaTroy Hawkins leadoff double was that very runner, scoring and tarnishing the veteran's Angels debut.
Pujols was so safe at home but it was just another Angels baserunning blunder.
UGLY:
Dan Haren better hope this is just post-Spring Training Dead Arm.
