Albert Pujols hit a 2-run Homer, Peter Bourjos hit a 2-run Homer, Mark Trumbo hit a solo homer and John Hester hit a solo homer. Amidst the fireworks the Angels left 17 men on base and kept starting pitcher C.J. Wilson on a tightrope of pitching precisely as the score was 1-0 Halos into the fifth inning. Wilson allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings and 107 pitches of 1 run ball.

The irony in scoring 7 runs is that the Angels blew many opportunities created with 17 hits, making two outs on the basepaths and keeping things unintentionally close by not finishing anything they started.
