Why wait for the twerps with press passes to tell you the news, the source himself has spoken:
Great win tonight !!! Finger is fine!!!!! #KeepItRolling
— Mike Trout (@Trouty20) July 3, 2012
Angels All Star rookie outfielder Mike Trout tweeted that his finger was fine after being held out of the starting lineup in Monday night's contest between the Indians and the Halos in Cleveland.
Trout banged up the pinkie finger on his right hand sliding headfirst into second base on Sunday. He was safe. He later hit a homerun but the finger stiffened up overnight. Maybe it was just landing in Cleveland but Mike Scioscia scratched him form the lineup when he had an iffy batting practice performance. The X-Rays were negative. Trout was brought in as a pinch runner in the top of the eight inning Monday night and played two innings in LF afterward.
The assumption is that he will be in the lineup for Tuesday night's game.
