Final Score in Anaheim: Indians 6 Angels 2

Pre1_medium

The Los Angeles Angels scored a total of zero runs off a starter with an ERA that's now 4.50 after throwing six scoreless innings. Offensively they were 0-9 with RISP and hit into two double plays. A streaking Kendrys Morales went 0-4 in the cleanup spot.

C.J. Wilson pitched a pretty solid game and our bullpen continued its march to wherever it is terrible pitchers hang out.

On a brighter note, the Texas Rangers lost tonight leaving us eight out of first and 2.5 out of the 2nd wildcard spot.

All of the Angels scoring was courtesy of an Albert Pujols two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th inning. That brought the score of the game to 3-2. The bullpen did not exactly blow it, but a one-run deficit is something people stay at the stadium to see overcome. Folks were streaming out as the Hisanori Takahashi and Jason Isringhausen top of the ninth meltdown began in earnest.
