Final Score in Arlington: Angels alot but Rangers even more.

Garbage Time.

Let's be philosophical. The Rangers have reached the bottom of the barrel in starting pitching. We murdered their starting pitching. We have only begun to experience crud in the rotation and bullpen. Jerry DiPoto has ample opportunities to protect this team from Mike Scioscia.

I will say it now. The Angels will finish ahead of the Rangers at the conclusion of the 2012 season.

As gassed as we were in the triple digits of Arlington, there is little to think this club is not getting better with the at-bats. When Mike Scioscia won't even use Vernon Wells as a pinch runner it bodes well for the nucleus of the club not being beholden to who Arte is still paying to make sure Tony Reagins excels as special assistant to Chairman Dennis Kuhl.

I will say it again. The Angels will finish ahead of the Rangers at the conclusion of the 2012 season. This series only proved that the bullpen needs some tinkering. It would be nice if the tinkering started soon, but look at the way the Angels slapped Ryan Dempster silly and mock the franchise's existence for even trying.
