The Halos will place Garrett Richards on the mound and hope he can pitch deep into the game.
Pitcher Barry Enright has become the sixth minor league pitcher called up to the Angels so far this season. David Carpenter was sent down to the minors after yesterday's game (ah, if only life were always that consistently karmic) and Enright, a pet salvage project of Jerry Dipoto's off of the Diamondbacks scrap heap, joins the club in Seattle.
Enright was terrible in the last game of the 2012 season on the bump, coincidentally against these Mariners, who have improved if ever so slightly with the addition of Kendrys Morales. This will be the first game for the Angels at Safeco Field with its new shorter fences. Take a look around if the FSN-West cameras zoom out from their default closeup shot of Dino Ebel's pelvis.
