Angels Moves: Ryan Brasier Up, Nick Maronde Down

Perhaps it is just a ploy to make everyone forget abut his absentminded walk to the mound last night, mid-count, but Mike Scioscia will have a fresh arm to use in Anaheim as relief pitcher Ryan Brasier was promoted to the big club and Nick Maronde was sent down to AA Arkansas.

The Angels are in need of as much relief pitching as they can get. The bullpen is beleaguered, bashed, beaten and bitter.
