In other news, reliever Sean Burnett went back onto the Disabled List for a sore elbow which he maintains, at least officially, is the normal reaction to the offseason elbow surgery he had.
No word yet on the minor league call-up who is taking his place. Any guesses? If you look at our minor league pitching splits you might start hoping they call up a hitter... until you look at the organization's minor league hitting numbers! We've had 21 pitchers toss for the club and the record for the franchise is 29... it doesn't seem to be a question of whether we hit that mark but more like when we hit it.
UPDATE: Burnett to the 15 Day DL, Tommy Hanson reinstated and scheduled to start on Friday at home against Houston.
