Angels Win Second Against Yanks, Third Consecutive 6-2

The Halos came out swinging yet again against the Yankees and earned the second win on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

I'm not walking!

Tommy Hanson went to the hill for the Halos and earned his fourth win of the season. Hanson let up two runs and five hits over 6 1/3 innings. After Hanson's quality performance, Scott Downs came in with one out and a man on third. The result? No runs scored! Downs did his job and struck out Reid Brignac while Michael Kohn came in and struck out Chris Stewart!

Howie Kendrick led the way for the Angels hitting, getting a hit in all three of his at bats. But more importantly, Albert Pujols brought the Angels two RBIs and so did Erick Aybar. Mike Trout was walked three times and Josh Hamilton did get an RBI but that was his only hit in five at bats. But hey, we won!

Tonight the team played very well. Ernesto Frieri earned another save and was lights out in the ninth. A great treat for Angel fans, you and I alike. Have a great Saturday!
    Side notes:
  • Joe Blanton had a sourpuss look on his face while Trout and Aybar were dancing in the dugout!
  • Ken Rosenthal said Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers are working on a seven year deal in the range of $170M - $200M. Now THAT is Arte Moreno kind of money! Good to see their learning from Arte up the Freeway.
